An APA term paper is not such a problem. Therefore, do not picture it as an eternal evil. In fact, there are a lot of sources that can devote you into the secrets of writing APA term papers. Such sources are official APA manuals, lots of internet links and, finally, your teacher.

Here are only some of the basic peculiarities of writing APA term papers:

  1. As in any academic writing, be extremely attentive and careful with the sources. In APA term papers they are called the List of References. Such a List of References for an APA term paper has to be listed alphabetically. If you slip here, it will be as obvious, as waving a red banner in front of your teacher’s eyes. In an APA term paper the List of References has to be separated from the rest of your text. In other words, place it on a new page. Also, mind that in APA term papers the listing is not numbered.
  2. All punctuation in an APA term paper has to be followed by one space. This is the nice part, because single spacing is accepted as a standard for many fonts.
  3. In an APA term paper you should realize the differences between “p.” and “pp.” Single letter is used when you quote a periodical with a certain volume number. If there are no, use “pp.” in your APA term paper.
  4. You are more than welcome to use titles and headings in APA term papers.
